Portugália Brewery was founded on June 10, 1925, at the beer factory on Av. Almirante Reis that bore the same name.
The beer, considered the best in Portugal, was the main reason people came to visit. But along with it came the croquette and the famous steaks with sauce, which quickly became the hallmark of the house.
